Left 4 Dead 2 is underway

thats right people! Left 4 Dead 2 is on its way! Exclusive to the Xbox 360 and PC.

L4D2 will feature 4 new characters along with the original 4 (zoey, louis, bill and francis) there will also be a whole new 5 campaigns to manuever and out run the crazy hordes of zombies as well as new special infected!

What weapons will defeat our zombies? you ask?. Well new weapons is a must! (there are new ones but not sure what they are) though as far as ammo goes there will be incindary amunition aka flame rounds. We can also have the use of Melee weapons ranging from chainsaws, pots, knives, axes! and much much more!

scheduled for US date Nov 17th, will be the sequel for our hit game Left 4 Dead! Australia will get it a day later hopefully.. though will have to wait in the suspence!

OK, so a couple things.

First up, please dont say 'Exclusive to 360 and PC', thats like someone saying Prototype is exclusive to 360, PC and PS3 because its not on Wii 

Second, although I was initially pretty upset that Valve had decided to go ahead and make a sequel this quickly, I'm slowly warming up to the idea more and more as more news hits about it. My current stance would come under 'cynically optimistic' haha

Loving the fact that not only will we get new special infected, but also 'uncommon' common infected, such as Mudmen, or the fire-retardant infected in their hazmat suits. Basically a bunch of new things to pump lead into that also spice the game up a little!


Also, I know it was posted back in June, but where did you get the information about the original 4 survivors still being available? I find this most interesting...

in the screen shots, i've only seen two survivors, an overweight lewis like guy, and a teen, with a cap. perhaps there is only two, because of the name, left 4 dead TWO like hyper pointed out, left FOUR dead had four survivors...?

That would be 12 or 15. Thankfully though, half of their members terms are coming to an end next year. We still get stuck with the ones til 2012 though.

Last I heard (this coming from a high up Valve employee interview) there are four completely new survivors. In the same interview, he said they were also working on Counter Strike 2 for The Orange Box 2.
