This thread is essentially a survey as to what our direction should be for the new year. Some of you may notice that Biohaze Gaming has been slightly inactive over the past few months, both on the forums and game events. As 2010 is dawning upon us, perhaps it might be time to take a new direction on how the community is run. Before we go making any big decisions, I'd like to see what you guys think.
After all, we do this for you guys - the community. Without you guys, we wouldn't have gotten off the ground.
When PyroClysm and Myself first started Biohaze Gaming, we wanted to make a community that was as big as something like
IGN or
FileFront, with all the reviews, articles, events and competitions and all that flashy stuff. It has been a year and a half since we started, and while we have achieved a fair bit, the reality is that we're no closer to that goal than when we started.
Some members have come to me and suggested that the community is a tad big, and they feel left out somewhat in terms of contribution. Some others have suggested that we should be more of a "tight-knit" community, keeping our member base to those who actually want to be apart of it.
Large Open Community:This is basically a "keep it open, and invite all we can" approach. We keep holding events, inviting people to join etc.
Close Open Community:We keep our community open to everyone, but not go out of our way to gain more members. If someone wants to join, then they can do so should they choose.
Tight Knit Community:I'm not sure how to describe this, but we'd basically make our community smaller by reducing the member amount to those who actively take part in our community (events, discussions and general stuffs), and invite people to join should they want to.
Now I may not have explained it right, but that basically whats been laid out on the table so far. If you have another suggestion as to a direction we could take - then please, write it in this thread.
We're open to all suggestions

so don't be shy.
